Chico joins Dancing on Ice and surprised the judges when he took to the ice and actor Matthew Wolfenden topped the scoreboard, beating last week's favourite Jorgie Porter.
Singer Chico looked set to have received the highest score of the night when he was given a total of 18.5, and was chuffed to have matched Porter's number.
Wearing a tight purple top and black trousers, the It's Chico Time star was confident and smiley as he took to the ice.
Having been told he would be taking part in the show only a few weeks ago, the dark-haired singer did extremely well.
He was brought in to replace Chesney Hawkes who was forced to pull out due to an injury.
Chico had been rehearsing as a reserve for six weeks previously, and it seems that's all the time he needed.
As he skated with his partner Jodeyne Higgins to Wild Thing, he certainly put a lot effort into the rhythm of his routine.
After learning of his excellent score, he shouted: 'I've just turned 40 and life begins at 40!'
Head judge Robin Cousins had nothing but good words to say about the singer: 'Every move was controlled in exactly the right place at the right time,' he said.
'You are a good skater, it's nice to see the partnership work instantly.'
Fellow judge Louie Spence also found it hard to contain his excitement, telling Chico: 'At the beginning there was a bit too much cheesy Chico and I'd prefer sexy, but I'm excited!' he shouted.
